Everyday.
In this instance, we are NOT talking about heavy weights.
Although, that’s a different post, for a different time.
To feel better, to achieve improvements in fitness…breathe heavy, everyday.
Should we be incorporating heavy weights on some days? Absolutely, yes.
Do I need to be lifting super heavy every single day? No!!
There are many different ways to increase the heart rate that don’t include high-technique gymnastics, and/or heavy weights.
Why do we do this?
To keep our blood pressure low. To make everyday tasks much easier for us to accomplish. To increase positive brain chemistry….and so many more.
Our goal is to increase the capacity of our nervous system (the communication network between brain, and body).
Run with your dog. Burpees in the park. Shuttle sprints. Vigorous bike ride. Kettlebell swings. Air squats. Combinations of any of the above.
Anyone can do it. If you’re new….combine brisk walking with short bursts of jogging. It’s all relative. You don’t need a ton of time, and you don’t need much equipment.
You just have to WANT it. Find the joy in it. Embrace the process. There are no finished products. The process is all there is.
